I haven't driven on any toll roads recently, but I got a text saying I owe $4.50 and need to click a link to pay or face a $50 fine. The link looks like 'linkt-pay-notice.com'. Has anyone else seen this?
Warning: New Facebook Marketplace PayID scam going around
I was trying to sell a couch on Marketplace and a buyer immediately asked to pay via PayID. They then sent a fake email saying I needed to 'upgrade to a business account' to receive the funds and asked me to send them $50 to complete the upgrade. Total scam!
How I helped my grandfather avoid a tech support scam
My grandpa got a pop-up on his computer saying it was infected with a virus and to call a Microsoft number. He almost did, but remembered I installed ScamCheck Pro on his phone. He took a photo of the screen, and the app immediately flagged it as a known tech support scam. So relieved!
